I admire in us, that undeniable quality: that will win – being unstoppable. Whenever a problem presents itself, we view it as a challenge and we either go through it, over it, under it or around it. Finally, if none of those methods prove to be successful, we view ourselves bigger and better than anything that could ever happen to us. The latter technique causes whatever seemed to have stood in our way towards success ultimately detonates itself. In the movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly actor Clint Eastwood plays the role of the heroic character – The Good In the oncoming troops' scene. An army of men emerged upon him and the Ugly. These soldiers were dust laden all over their bodies and their horses. The leader of the troops jumped off his of horse, then using a dust cloth. He dusted a portion of the previously accumulated dust off his jacket sleeve. He didn’t have to say much about his rather adventurous journey – probably filled with bumps, bruises, sandstorms and defeats. That leader, no doubt had lost some of those tough battles but be resting assured. He wasn’t going to lose the war. What caused me to rise from being a struggling actor, to National Bestselling author and author of a almost two dozen books, a screenwriter, a movie producer and a stellar entrepreneur? What propelled me from the divorced and lonely to being embraced by the world? Come with me; fasten your seatbelt as I take you on my journey through the hub of the entertainment industry. That’s right Hollywood, Where the stakes are high, dreamers are a-dime-a-dozen the “blacklist” philosophy which will be discussed later is used frequently to keep one at bay, where some with the crabs in a basket mentality have embarked on pulling back so many including myself, constantly towards the bottom. Hollywood, known for its many bureaucratic delays, degrees of unfairness, racism, crabs in a basket philosophy, snakelike philosophy, nepotism, and inequities of all kinds, is still a place where the hard work, guts and strong determination are the call to massive success. Here just about everyone claims to have a dream of becoming more or doing great things in life, yet give up when attacked. In a sense they tuck their tails between their legs and run away from their dream - Giving up on the vision. They become blinded from the dust along the road toward becoming their best - which is still yet to come.
Thomas Edison an expert on failure said "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."3 |

TOTAL COMMITMENT - The Mindset of Champions
Imagine if you were stricken with cancer, and as your physician, I were to tell you that the cure for your almost fatal disease lies beneath the river bed. What if I prescribed that if you found, a little smooth rock, glittering as a diamond, placed it twice a day outside the cancer infected area for one month, and you would be cured? What time would you wake up in the morning and what time would you arrive at the river bed?
As you look in the water, noticing several stones ruggedly, smoothly shaped, would you use a net or your bare hands, so you can feel the contour and identify of your cure easily?
In order to ensure your success and beat the odds, let’s say you decided to use your hands. If sunset came and you didn’t find it, now with blistered hands, would you return the following day to continue your search?
By now you have cleared almost all the stones from that river bed, but that special stone was yet to be found. Not only are your hands aching and bloodied, but your back hurts severely. The sun sets again. You drag yourself home.
Now furious about the price you have paid, you pick up the phone and call me complaining, “Where is that stone? I’ve looked all over; I’m sore. It’s nowhere to be found.” And I respond, “Keep looking, the stone is there, plus you need to start medicating tomorrow.”
Now you jump out of bed before the crack of dawn, so you can get to that river bed, fearing that a high tide of water will wash your medication away.
Then right before sunset, with what little energy you have left, you clear more rocks from that river bed. Just when you were about to give up, you discovered the smooth stone - the cure for your disease.
Knowing that you have a whole month of treatment to go, you feel as though you’ve already been cured. You call me back jubilantly. Forgetting the pain you’ve gone through, you shout out, “I’ve found it, I’ve found it! I love you doctor. Thanks for saving my life.” I respond, “What a thrill of success. You committed to the process and now you have success. YES! ”
